  1. Hey Doc, Great looking product and excited to help sell it. Keep us all updated on it. Rob
  2. Hey Guys/Gals, Here in the Southwest, it's now hot (over 100+ degrees) and higher humidity due to the Summer Monsoon storms. That being said, many are still out roaming the goldfields during the early morning hours in hopes for a few gold nuggets. A friend and I are still out and about, hunting in the morning hours until the heat/humidity or the storms run us out. Spending most of the time in the gully bottoms, the bedrock can get as high as 140-150 degrees making it difficult to stay on the ground too long. This has been a weird year, we have yet to see a single Rattlesnake to date. I have seen just about everything else, lizards, small rodents, bugs and other snakes, but no Rattlesnakes to boot. I'm not sure if it's the drought or what, but normally my friend and I would run across dozens of Rattlesnakes by this time. I'm not complaining, just seems weird this year, but maybe we just have been lucky to miss them. On another note, I stumbled across this nice gold nugget a few weekends ago. We were metal detecting with the Minelab GPZ 7000's in a new area and I got this faint signal right in the center of the wash bottom. I almost didn't dig it, as I haven't found a single nugget prior to this targets, so normally I'm not going to dig deep targets right out in the center of any gulch unless I have a reason to believe there is gold. I guess I have to be happy about this one, it was well over a foot deep on bedrock. The nugget was just over 1/4 ounce in weight, nothing huge, but sure was a surprise to say the least! The nugget lead us into a new area that has potential and paid for gas (almost $6/gallon). A few other smaller gold nuggets were also found not shown. Keep in mind, hunting this time of year, make sure you hydrate well, wear light clothing, pack enough liquids, wear sunscreen, gloves, hat and snake gaitors. These are just some recommendations for all the years of searching the desert regions during the Summer. I also recommend also hunting with a friend if possible and carrying 2-way radios so you can communicate back in forth and tell your buddy when you find that big gold nugget! Wishing you all a beautiful gold nugget under that searchcoil. Keep it swinging, Rob
  3. Hey Bob, Funny you mention "Little Known Gold area," as more than 1/2 of all my gold locations are just that, "Little known and undocumented." There wasn't much really written on gold nugget locations, but more so gold locations that produced larger amounts of fine and flake gold or mines that produced payable quantities of gold in the lode.
  4. Hey Bob, Funny you mentioned that, I just met with a owner of some property today and we talked about a patch that you and "Big Foot" worked back during the VLF and early PI days. That being said, some people believe that "Big Foot" was named for using the old bigfoot searchcoil, but others have stated he had one very small foot and a normal foot, so he was dubbed "Bigfoot." I remember running into him in Arizona and around Winnemucca, NV. Rob
  5. Hey Bob and All, Great point Bob made about the Roadside patches. I have a story that involves my Cousin and I dating back to the late 90's. We were taking a casual exploration drive during the early Summer months looking for new ground for the upcoming Winter season. We drove several rough, winding dirt roads for miles looking for potential washes and places to jump out and swing for 15-30 minutes spot checking. We hit several places prior to finding a small, narrow gully that we could see bedrock in. The road we were driving along was right along the bank of the small wash, so we could see hundreds of yards of the narrow gully as we slowly drove down the road. After driving about a hundred yards of above the bedrock wash, we thought it might be smart to jump out with our SD2000's/2100's and give it a quick whirl. I ended up walking up creek, while my cousin went down. It wasn't more than about 15 minutes when my cousin yelled out he had his first gold nuggets, from a new location! We both were super excited, as this area had no mention in any of the books about gold, nor any mines or prospects within miles. It was super hot, but since we started finding small gold nuggets, it was hard to stop. We worked for several hours and gold just thinned out and it was getting super hot, probably 120+ in the narrow, bedrock wash. After many trips back to this narrow, no named bedrock wash, we ended up taking somewhere between 500-600 gold nuggets ranging from a 1-2 grains up to like 1/4 ounce. I have returned over the years after large Monsoon rains, I'm sure my Cousin and friends have to, so I'm sure another 50-100 nuggets have been found to add to the 500-600 we found together. I always tell myself and others, if something catches your attention, you should give it 15-30 minutes just to get it off your mind. All those places you have drove by over the years and told yourself "I should hunt this, or this looks good," you better check them out at some point. Just honestly imagine all the gold we are walking and driving by going to the major, known gold locations most hunt.

  7. Hello All, Here are all 3 of the new Coiltek GOLDHAWK Searchcoils now available for the Minelab GPX 6000 metal detector. There are some great sizes, the 10x5 Mono for tight areas, best pinpointing and working shallow or bedrock ground. The 14x9 Mono has always been my favorite all-time searchcoil size, still maintains good sensitivity to small gold while giving you good depth while prospecting and exploring new areas. The 9" Mono is a great mid-sized Round searchcoil that will give you more depth than the 10x5 Mono Elliptical, but just shy of the 14x9. 11. Hello All, I have been using the Heavy Duty NF Skidplates on my GPZ 14x13 in coil for some time along with the NF Z Search 12" coil. They are awesome, last double the wear time and are not that much more expensive than the standard Minelab skidplates. Here is a whole list the new Heavy Duty (Black) Nugget Finder Skidplates I have available - NF 12" Round for Z Search (GPZ 7000) - $33.00 NF 14x13" GPZ Searchcoil (GPZ 7000) - $40.00 NF 11" Round for GPX 6000 (GPX 6000) - $33.00 NF 14" Round for GPX 6000 (GPX 6000) - $40.00 NF 17" Elliptical for GPX 6000 (GPX 6000) - 40.00 NF 11" Round for Equinox 600/800 (EQX series) - $28.00 Shipping is not included in the price. We have all of them in stock, but they are going super quickly due to the quality and the fact they last much longer. Some of the new stock skidplates seems like they are almost paper thin. Contact us via phone or text to order, as not all of them are listed online as of yet. Thanks! 12. Hey Shep, How did it turn out? Wish we all could have met up. The group that was with me ended up going over to San Domingo area and camped for 3 days. We did nothing but explore and got the big giant Skunkaroo! rRob
  13. Great amount of color there. Have you considered dropping in a dredge or highbanker? Rob
  14. Hey Nate, I don't know anyone that has claims right off hand in California, but I would recommend you contact Ray Mills in Redding, CA as he does field training and courses about metal detecting for gold. He actually might know some people and it might be worth it for anyone to join one of this courses if they can. Rob
  15. You're welcome Flak. May the Great Lord bless us all this year, the World has struggled the last couple of years economically and many health/wellness. Rob
  16. Hey Guys, Just got another small batch of these coils back in stock, but they will be gone within a few days. I love mine for sure, haven't heard nothing but praises about them. If anyone wants to order one online, the direct link is a few post up in this thread. Rob
  17. Hey Moe and others, I haven't had a chance to try the new "Garrett 24k," but heard they are working well. Curious to see if Garrett changed anything besides more cosmetic stuff. Rob
  18. Hey Guys, Great to hear about everyone success. Many rumors about several record sized gold nuggets found in Arizona. I personally can say they both are true, but will let more info fiddle out at some point Rob
  19. Hello All, It's getting to the point where I have very little time to even post anymore. I'm still here, hard at it as always. I'm blessed that ever year just keeps getting busier for the business. The 2021 prospecting season was also a blessing, had a great time in the field with friends, family and some beautiful gold was found. I'm hoping to get more free time to post some of my adventure stories here along with new videos on my Youtube channel. Thanks for all the support you all have given. Rob
  20. Hey Moe, The Gold King units were some of my favorites back in my gold dredging days. I used to know the original owners down in Buckeye, AZ. I had everything from the 2.5" up to a 5". Rob
  21. Hey Shep, Where were the pushes done on? Any gold nugget(s) recovered from the pushes? I know before up at the old 24K pushes, you would get a gallizion guys with various detectors and the cross talk was crazy. You almost had to hunt at night when most were asleep or super early in the morning .... LOL Rob
  22. Hey Shep, I think it would be a great trip. I'm trying to see if I can get out that weekend, it would be Jan 15th & 16th, but I might be able to get a day prior or after also. When you get to Tom Well's Road, do you go North or South? How are the road, good enough to pull a side-by-side trailer in and such? Rob
  23. Hey Andy, Wow, very nice in deed. Congrats on the finds and the friendship and experienced shared with others. Wishing you a very successful 2022 season. Rob
  24. Hey Steve, That is awsome. The Nugget Finder Z Search - https://www.robsdetectors.com/nugget-finder-12-z-searchcoil-for-gpz-7000/ is a great coil for added sensitivity, getting into tighter spots and really making the GPZ 7000 lighter to swing. I have no removed my 12" Z Search since putting it on. I agree, you can find them down to under 1 grain (480 grains per ounce). Thanks for sharing the story. Rob
  25. Thanks Guys, it was a good hit, but really rare for me and I'm sure for others. However, just goes to show, large pieces are still out there to be found. Rob
