  1. Hey Martin...I did not want to expose your ID...Lurkers abound! 🤠😛😛Cheers, Unc
  2. Nice, Martin...About 10 years ago I hit nice wash with nuggets 1 dwt. or less...I followed the lead and over the years I've found about a pound of gold, strung out over about a mile in several connected washes...Largest was 1.1 ozt....Last one was 1/2 ozt...Fun exploration because 90% of the time I found nuggets, nice ones and only a little trash...Cheers, Unc
  3. Nice nugget, Rob...Way to go...Was that Leaverite with you? Cheers, Unc
  4. Rob, perhaps if you could locate a source for gently used detectors, it could help take up the slack 'til you can get to roaring again...Just a suggestion...Cheers, Unc
  5. Excellent nuggets, Rob...Were they all shallow? Thanks for sharing....Cheers, Unc
  6. Beautimos nugget, Rob...Did you take a photo of you and your daughter with the nugget? Love to see it! ... Cheers Unc
  7. There's lot of great nugget hunting in Siskiyou County...Yreka it's self was called the richest square mile on earth ...Downtown is honey combed under the buildings with placer tunnels...Yreka Creek was rich...Greenhorn Creek area has big gold and then over the hill to Cherry Creek on other side of greenhorn pass...Then you can go through Scott Valley and on up to Scott Summit where gold nugget flat is located, right on top...I mined there all over the county for 25 years before moving to Arizona in 1999....Mined there for a living for 7 years...The old saying, "Don't leave gold to hunt for gold," applies in your current situation...Also, down the Klamath, Dave McKracken has his club and lots of river claims near Happy Camp...Takes some research but you are surrounded by gold areas at Yreka...Good luck, Cheers, Unc
  8. Hey Y'all...Dodacious and I have a friend who has knocked it out of the park this year with his country music career...Dodie went to his concert tonight in Orlando and it was broadcast across the internet ...Simply amazing and tonight he released his first actual formal video ... It's amazing ...Not only a great talent but also an amazingly nice person ... He's a Vet and is using his talent to support other Vets suffering PTSD ... He's had three #1 hits on the country music charts ... Big things in store for him ... Check out his new music video here... Enjoy and check out Donavon's other youtube videos by searching and subscribe to his youtube channel ... Cheers, Unc
  9. I agree, Jim, but I had to get Patch trained because we have had many rattlers around our home and property...He ran into one last spring and absolutely hauled ass away from it...He goes by smell, not buzz...We have so many rattlers around it's ridiculous here in Wickenburg! Lost our border collie to one and then our old cat...And most of the rattlers around here are Mojave greens...Nasty ass snakes! ... Cheers, Unc
  10. Guys who are concerned about rattlers with their dogs need to take them to a genuine snake avoidance trainer that uses real rattlers in the training ... Some so called trainers use gopher snakes ... They don't smell the same and when used in training it's a bad joke ... I took our rescue pup, Shadow Patch, to "Viper Avoidance" in New River, AZ ... That was 6 years ago and he's still trained to, not just avoid, but to haul ass in the opposite direction ... He came close to one in the bush last year and he couldn't butt scoot out of the area fast enough ... If you're gonna take your pup out, get the legit training... Cheers, Unc
  11. Hey Rob and all...The old NF 14" E fiberglass is my favorite coil...I've found pounds with it on both my SD2100 (Old Baboo) and my 4500 ... Second fav is the old CT 17 E ... Also the NF round 14 DD is good and goes surprisingly deep... Cheers, Unc
  12. It's great to have all these options, but the old fiberglass coils in the hands of a skilled operator will do as well or better...Operator=90%, equipment (within reason) = 10% ... Cheers, Unc
  13. That's a great video, Rob...I learned some stuff (and also recognize a few points that Trimble was not correct on...Cheers, Unc
  14. My only comment about the testing is that both coils were swung at least twice or more as fast as they should have been for the most effective detecting...Other than that, interesting ... Cheers, Unc
  15. Those are beautiful nuggets...WTG!!!! Cheers, Unc
  16. A legend has passed...We who pursue this amazing endeavor are forever in Jim's debt...RIP, Jim! ...Ron
  17. Hey CH...Yes, every thing works great, two new tires, new generator fuel pump, new starter...Everything else is 10x10 ... Check out the pix on Craigslist...Very clean...With the sliders (2) out, it's like a dance hall! ... I love it, but can't handle the pain of traveling anymore .... I'm afraid I'm even going to give up beeping and prospecting ... Bill, Nuggetshooterette, Mike and I went beeping two weeks ago and I squatted down to dig, fell over and couldn't get up for about 10 minutes... My wife is bummed because it is a woman's dream and the inside was designed by the wife of the president of Rexhall ... Let me know your thoughts...Cheers, Unc
  18. Yo all...Dodacious and I recently bought a motor home that we love but I'm too stove up in my back to be able to travel...So, reluctantly, we must sell it ... It is on Craigslist right now...Dodie and I agreed that we can give an extra discount to forum members to get a quicker sale...Some of you may have seen it at Bill's Quartzsite outing...Check it out HERE on Craigslist...Cheers, Unc
  19. Nice ...What area? CA, AZ or ? WTG...Cheers, Unc
