  1. DOC, thanks for posting the story again. Read it like the first time again!!! Merry Christmas to ya!!!
  2. Looks like a small swamp cooler to me. Would not wrapping a wet rag around a can of soda do the same thing??? Or hosing yourself off with a water hose?? I just don't see where she made any technical break through!! Then again maybe I am missing something.
  3. Good post Bob!! I hate to tell ya but you went WAY over Dougs head with the facts. He thinks that it is some master plan that Minelab cooked up to sell machines.
  4. Good answer Doug!!! Did I miss Minelab boasting about the new model of Minelab??? I have not heard a word about the next model of Minelab coming out. Do you have a link for us??? Your a trip, and don't even know it!
  5. Thats great news Doug!! Where are some of the dealers that carry them located?? I want to check them out!!!
  6. Doug, since you "always" want proof to what any one says. Where is your proof to this statement ""This approach has not been tried before but has some potential to refine the QED into a remarkable machine that integrates common user hunting behavior into the technology design."" Put up or shut up as you would say!!
  7. Because Doug you would me in the boxing ring and give me a black eye.
  8. I will come there when you stop beating around the bush and answer my questions above!! Has the QED been out in the bush and found any nuggets yet???? According to you and Bugsy it has not.
  9. All 3 of them detectors have not been proven yet!!! So stop acting like they are going to be better than a Minelab. I would not fit in with your clan of dreamers on your forum. I like things that are real, not on some workbench where nothing has been proven in the field. Also I thought the price was going to be $600.00? now its up to $800.00? And thats a kit right?? That should keep you busy with all the returns for problems with people putting it together!!!
  10. Sure Doug, the QED will be hitting the market any year now!!! By then it will be as cutting edge as a BFO Bounty Hunter!!!
  11. Here is a video about looking for gold with the 705. Gives ya a bit of how it works with hot rocks and ground mineralization. http://www.mlotv.com/view/575/prospecting-...he-x-terra-705/ Oh ya Rob, got the manual in the mail a few days ago. THANKS
  12. As far as what I know the 5X10 DD coil is lot easier to use where you have "hot rocks" basalt. You can usually ground balance them out with a DD coil to some extent. The "concentric" coil is a tad more likely to sound off on basalt. And the 5X10 DD coil being the HIGH freq coil (18.75khz), it will pick up the smaller nuggets better. So if your looking for nuggets, the 5X10 DD coil is the best for small gold. This "IS" the forum for gold searching, but check out this link for TONS of info on the X-TERRA 705. http://www.findmall.com/list.php?55 Be sure to read the "FAQFAQ" part in the top of the forum. Lots of necessary info on understanding the 705 I hope posting the link is OK with Rob!!!
  13. I just bought a 705 a few weeks ago from Rob. Got the DD 5X10 high freq coil also. Have not been out looking for gold yet, but have been to some old 100 plus old homes and have found some good silver coins with it. The GMT might be a bit better on gold, but not much I would think. Plus the disc is more programmable than the MXTs. I think once it gets out in the goldfields around here, the GMTs better watch out!!!
  14. Hey CC where ya at in San Diego? I live in Ranchita and work out of San Marcos. GARY S
