  1. Roger, Little San Domingo is just north of Morristown AZ . Take Castle Hot Springs road north of Highway 74 just after pavement ends look for a road to the left after passing the big red dirt pile. You should notice a ranch house sitting back aways on the right side of the road before you make your left turn. You will be entering state trust land and will need a permit to park or camp on state land. The Roadrunners, GPAA and a couple of other clubs have claims for a few miles around. There is some open BLM land where you can prospect but as others have said before do your research first unless going with some one that knows the area. Like all popular placer areas it has been hit hard. You can always score some gold drywashing and if you have a good gold detector and know how to use it you stand a fair chance of finding a few dinks or maybe even something bigger and better.
  2. Bruce I'm looking forward to the auction. I have to call Nov 2 to see if I have been selected for jury duty...hopefully not this time around. You have a lot of great stuff for sure. That would be hard for anyone to part with. Jim
  3. Hey Gravelwasher. . I wish our garden spinach leaves were covered with gold bugs like that!! Very Nice!! Jim
  4. Hey Jrod1101....Nice finds there. I have a Tesoro Bandido II that I take for a walk in the park every now and then. Those tot lots and parks keep giving up some finds. Good luck to you on your future hunts. Jim
  5. Thanks Rob. I appreciate the welcome. I've mostly dredged, drywashed and detected the Bradshaws, San Domingo, and a few other remote areas around the state. Our paths probably crossed more that once out there. My memory is little fuzzy now especially dates. I joined the Roadrunners shortly after they started. I think it was Bob Sickler that signed me up. He had a prospecting store on east Indian School Rd if memory serves me right?? I used to deal also with Frank Lynn and before him "Charlie Brown" over on 43rd ave. I see that you have an online store so I'm sure I will be visiting it very soon. Thanks again, Jim
  6. Yeah, been there, done that. I have also been burned by sharing too much info about certain finds, and that's my own fault. I generally prospect alone now because of it. Been at it since about 1982 and have met some great people with a ton of knowledge on the subject. Sometimes I'm not sure which is more fun, chasing gold or listening to their stories. It's all good.
