  1. Hello All, Here is a short video of a very nice crack/crevice we found earlier this year during the Summer Monsoons. Prior to this find, we were just weekend warriors placering various areas and metal detecting for nuggets finding a small handful of nuggets per day. We were not finding anything to really write home about, just the common US nuggets from about a quarter gram and up to 3-4 grams. Working one of these dry creeks, we were hitting a few nuggets in the cracks, but found one we decided to chase down deeper. Normally we don't do this, as digging down several feet or more to bedrock can be a lot of work, especially if you don't recover anything. We had a wild hair, so we decided to do so and this spot paid off very well. As you can see in the video below, the crack started off with two amazing gold nuggets, one was 2.2 ounces solid (just a flat lump) and the other was 1.01 ounces. The gold nuggets were almost side by side in the same crevice as shown. We ended up finding 3-4 smaller gram sized nuggets in the same crevice, but the bedrock popped right up and the gold just disappeared. It was a great moral boost for the Summer season, as it's normally pretty hot and nasty during the Summer Monsoons in the Southwestern US. The tools we normally use are shovels, metal rake, crevice tools, metal detector(s) and pinpointer. We were using the Minelab GPZ 7000 with the new Nugget Finder Z Search 12" coil in this video. The pinpointer we typically use is the Garrett AT Pinpointer (Orange one). Hope you all enjoy the video. If you would like to follow us on Youtube, make sure you "Subscribe" to our channel to see all the new videos. Wishing you all a Happy upcoming Thanksgiving and a wonderful prospecting season. Hope you all have some lunkers under your coils this season! Rob G
  2. Hey Guys, It's been awhile since I done a video, so here you go. I have a bunch more I need to upload, it just take time ..... The nugget actually weighted almost 4 Dwt's, just shy of 1/4 ounce. It was found with the Minelab GPZ 7000 metal detector.
  3. Hello All, Here is an old video I found back around 2014-15. I was using the Minelab GPZ 7000 metal detector, working a small ravine where I found many ounces of gold throughout the prior years. This was one ravine or wash where I always brought the next best detector to give it a whirl. For at least 10 years, I have been able to return back to this spot and find a few pieces deeper that were missed. It's a hard spot to work at least with larger coils, as the ravine or wash is loaded with large cobbles. This particular day using the GPZ 7000, I managed only a few targets, but this one happen to be gold. It was a faint whisper type target under a large cobble. I managed to remove the cobble and this is where the video pretty much starts. The nugget weighed right at 1/2 ounce and was probably 18-20 inches deep. The ravine or wash needs to be handstacked and then detected. There is no question, there is probably several ounces of larger nuggets still hiding at depth. I have dozens of older videos I haven't uploaded to Youtube. It's just a matter of time uploading these darn things. Hope you enjoyed. It's out there and "maybe even where you find it!"
  4. Here is the picture below of the great looking piece. Always nice to see some large Arizona gold. I heard around Dolan Springs area, but not 100% certain. Others guys might have heard rumors or know the general area better.
  5. Hello All, Today a partner and I managed to hit a few patches at Rich Hill. I was able to snag 4 small ones out of a 10 foot area. My partner found a nice water worn 4 Dwt piece in the lower portion of the patch. Pictured below you will see where I snagged the 4 smaller ones using the Coiltek Joey DD Pro. All the nuggets were between larger rocks or hiding under brush. It's still out there .... Rob Allison
  6. Hello All, A few weeks ago I was out exploring and filmed 3 short videos on mining camps (potentially placer and lode). I will post them later tonight. That being said, just curious if anyone else has used old Mining camps to find small placers, mines or prospects? In most gold bearing areas, if anyone stuck around and sampled long enough there will be some signs (big or small) of camps. Sometimes these camps can be found in the middle of nowhere and can be worth searching around them to see what the old-timers might have been looking for. Over the years I have used these camps to locate small, overlooked placers, prospects and small mines. Some have been rewarding, others crap-shoots! Most camps will have tin cans, broken bottles and other rubbish. Interesting to hear from others about this subject. Rob Allison
  7. Hello All, This weekend a partner and I conducted field instructions for two new Minelab GPX-5000 customers. One customer was from the Phoenix area, other drove down from Lake Havasu City. After going over the detector and settings, both customers were out detecting. At the end of the day, Marvin from the Phoenix area ended up with two nuggets shown below. Chip & his wife didn't get lucky, but they had a great time. Thank you both for your business. Don't hesitate to get a hold of me if you have any questions. Sunday, my partner and I hit a new area not too far away. Within a few hours I scored 5 small nuggets with the Minelab GPX-5000. The ground was pretty hot, but managed to run Sensitive/Extra with Deep audio in this area. Check out the nuggets below. Overall it was a great weekend. The weather Sunday was awesome! Picture 1 - Chip displaying his new Minelab GPX-5000 in the Arizona goldfields Picture 2 - Marvin checking out a nugget he just scored, his first with the new Minelab GPX-5000 Picture 3 - Marvin showing off his two nuggets found in Arizona Picture 4 - Gold nuggets I found hunting a new location Take care, Rob Allison
