New Tesoro Silver uMax strikes silver

Recommended Posts

In only 10 minutes of its first use in my front yard. The ring is made by Avon, .925 silver with what appears to be 12 small peridot stones. But they could also be synthetic stones as well.

Now all I need is to strike a gold nugget with my 2100 in the first ten minutes! lol

Howdy Ray... Your Tesoro Silver uMAX is a "winner."

Great Find.... A Great Start.... Keep it up..... Over the past several months I

have been back to mostly coinhunting.

Since 1989 I have been mostly using either a White's Eagle-2 SL or a White's

5900 SL Pro that has been modded by Bill Lahr for 4-tones. I have a "battery"

of searchcoils that fit either... from the 3x7 elliptical to the 18-inch bigfoot.

However, like you I have up-dated. For me it is the Teknetics T-2 and the

Minelab X-terra 70. The T-2 is fast... the faster the swing, it seems to have

more "depth." But I do not yet have a small coil for either one to work trash

and smaller areas.

Did I meet you about 4-years ago at the Westcoasters Rendvouis (spelling)?

Hi Jim,

Sorry for the late reply, but I always forget to look at this particular portion of the website.

I think we may have met, if indeed the event you are describing was held in or near Jurupa. Jim Straight invited me and I had actually thought he was inviting me to go nuggethunting. I got to thinking that I'd never heard of gold found in Jurupa, but thought I would go anyway because Jim invited me and he's a great guy to tag along with. Turned out to be a detectorist gathering of some kind in a very large park over there.

I met a lot of people there and it was quite some time ago, so I would be hard pressed to say for sure that we met. But we could have.

Anyhow, thanks for the comments. The Silver uMax is working well for me. Will post another pic of some more silver finds in a few minutes.

Take care,

Ray

Just like that ring you will find the gold you just got to get the coil over it.I've never used a Tesoro but for sure you had great luck first time out with it.Coin hunting the good part about is everyone is droping some every day and throw a ring in at different times.

Now multiply the trash you find coin hunting by 10 and if you are lucky you may have found one gold nugget. I can assure you size will mean nothing when you do find that first one. It's like the fish that got away being it gets bigger each time you tell it. :D

Best of luck to you Ray!
