40 years of beeping

Recommended Posts

Started digging out most of my finds and putting them in display cases to put on the wall, still have cans full of stuff and no place to display them. Top row is all rings. 40 years of beeping.

In the case is a stack of tokens and pile of keys plus cans of various things, much much more & no room to display.

The one photo is a few of the religious medals I found

All the gold items were taken from cases and sent in for melt.

Dear Dutch John , I dont rember meeting you, but dad knew a lot of people i never met, cause i was always gone except for Quartsite Arizona during Jan, Feb, Mar, the shows , I was always at the Main Event acros the freeway from dad at the Hijolly Lot were he was always at , here is what I looked like back then , I also sold Detectors and pans back then ,and as always i was in the mountains dredgeing and paning for gold , thats how i made a liveing for my family, dad has 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren , and more on the way, you probably never knew they existed ,good to hear from one of his friends, see i was always the black sheep of the family , never liked working or writeing books to sell detectors , liked the mountains and deserts to much ,

Gosh Larry... We are talking about the same Roy Lagal. Your mom's name was Gerri; and you are related to Tommy Long(?)

The last contact I had with Roy, his address was in Fredericksburg TX. The last time I saw Roy and Gerri was at Quartzsite. They were tailgating.

You certainly was not a "black sheep." No Sirree! You marched to a different drummer, nothing wrong with that!... I'm very glad to hear about Roy... He must be in his late 80's; close to 90. Jim Straight here
