Kind of came around full circle with my dad... when I was a kid back in the 60's I used to dig for him at the beaches and parks. He would use a BFO detector. He even found a diamond engagement ring with it once. Now he'll keep an eye on me and wander on over if he sees me digging in one spot too long.
