Admin nuggethunting Posted August 19, 2013 Admin Report Share Posted August 19, 2013 Hello All, Saturday I met up with Mark that is heading to Japan to metal detect for gold. Mark is one of just a few guys that I have met recently looking to metal detecting in Japan. Mark and I spent several hours going over the Minelab GPX 5000, but Mark already had a really good understanding of the unit. Mark had been working the Weaver claims for a couple of days prior to meeting up, so he already had a nice collection of iron rubbish, lead and such. Later that afternoon, Mark from Queen Creek came out to pick up his new Minelab Eureka Gold metal detector. We planned on doing a short training course on his unit, but he forgot to bring 8 AA batteries for the unit to run. I asked him the night prior if he wanted me to charge the stock battery and he said he would just bring batteries. I normally have plenty of AA's, but over the last few months customers have used them all and I didn't realize I was pretty much out. No biggie, Mark has a big interests in getting a Minelab GPX 5000 soon, so he was able to listen to some of the stuff I was teaching Mark from Japan. Thanks for your business guys. Wishing you both the best of success out there! Rob Allison
