oldies1955
Was able to get out with my hunting buddy last week. Went to a new area. Found the little guy about 20 yards into the wash. I was happy with just that. Kept on going and got a loud reverse signal. Dug down about 8-10 inches and got into the red hard pack dirt and rotten bedrock. Its always exciting when you get to that level because its either gold or a bullet. Lighter things done work their way down like that. Finally got it in the scoop and work it to just a little bit left. Im not seeing anything yellow. But, when I saw the shape of the target that was setting the detector off.....I knew it was gold. Gave it a good spit bath and WOOHOO! The two are actually 1.5 grams. My scale was acting up. Then we went to our favorite lunch spot and dined. Great way to start the season and the good Lord blessed me with some gold. Edited September 27 by oldies1955
