trinityau
HEY BIG ED, TRINITYAU HERE, FOR SOME REASON THE FORUM WOULD NOT LET ME REPLY TO THE THREAD ON NEW RIVER. GOT A COUPLE OF NICE PIECES THIS WEEKEND UP IN THAT AREA. I WILL TELL YOU ONE THING ABOUT THAT AREA, THE LOCALS STILL DO A LITTLE GROWING , HOWEVER WHAT YOU REALLY HAVE TO WATCH FOR ARE THE LITTLE MEXICANS SITTING AND WATCHING. THESE GUYS ARE PAID NEXT TO NOTHING, EAT NOTHING AND DO JUST WHAT THEY ARE TOLD, AND THEY CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS IF YOU HAPPEN TO COME UP ON ONE OF THE AREAS THEY ARE GUARDING. USED TO BE LOCALS, A LOT OF CARTEL NOW AND GETTING WORSE ALL OVER TRINITY COUNTY. THESE GUYS DONT GIVE A $#@!. WATCH YOURSELF, IT IS GETTING HARDER JUST TRYING TO HAVE FUN HERE LATELY. I HAVE A GOOD FRIEND THAT FOR SOME REASON CANT REMEMBER HIS NAME LIVES IN NEW DENNY, FIRST HOUSE ON THE RIGHT GOING IN RIGHT AT THE NARROWS. I THINK I AM LOSING MY MIND SOMETIMES. ANYWAY BE CAREFUL. FlakMagnet
This cartel stuff seems to be getting really heavy all over the mother lode and up into Trinity County.WHAT'S UP WITH THIS?The cartel is not only into 'growing' but even more insidious is thatthey have very sophistocated meth-lab operations scattered around up there too.Why are the authorities not acting on what we all know?I just have to shake my head. This is a weird country right now. COLORADO BOB
Seems to me that maybe a bit of Old West, frontier, vigilante justice may be in order here. Bob T.

eodseal2000
They are even growing crops in National Parks! Sequioa N.P. on the west coast has multiple grows as well as other Parks. Whiskeytown just busted 2 crops one with 2,500 plants and guess what?...they were all Mexican Nationals!
FlakMagnet
eodsealYes that is what I am hearing from many of my friends and acquaintancesall over California. This represents a very marked change in the nature of the growers andthe potential danger to the general public. From what I have learned, the cartel brings up illegals who watch over the operationsand the higher-up's come in at irregular intervals to pick up the product.Apparently part of the problem for law enforcement is the swiftness that the pick-up's happen, they are unable to react to it.But why is the State Government not making this a priority? This situation has the potential to mushroom intoa devastating array of problems over the very near future. If it hasn't already...Suggestions anyone?(Other than mow 'um down)I have written the governers office, but like all communication with any of our "governments"I doubt whether anyone every gives it more than a passing glance, and that would be only to assess whether the note means a vote or the loss of a vote - never mind the content.Frustrating... eodseal2000
Maybe they have their hands in the pot also? I know of a few crooked cops. Who knows, wouldn't surprise me!
