Tony Teixeira
Yesterday a buddy and I decided to go to an area that one of our UPS drivers recommended, I bet Grubstake knows this area like the back of his hand, it is the section that caught fire awhile back, I checked the BLM for current claims and we decided to head towards Telegraph Hill rd, it was one section in 4S 18E that seemed available, You would not believe how beautiful this part of the country is, I would love to move to Mariposa.Someday Grubstake we may be neighbors! While we were there we ran into some guys detecting, we stopped to talk with them seems they did not know whose property they were on, I told them there appears to be a claim on it via BLM but they said there are no markers so it was fair game to them.... I don't agree with this since the markers could have been knocked down by trees in the fire so we just kept moving along to a spot that seemd to be legal for NUGGET HUNTING.This was a bit different than hunting in the creeks, I could go for an hour without hearing a target, I found 4 lead bullets and one small tack... my buddy could not get his gold stinger to work right so we just hunted together, we spent about 2.0 hours total hunting, most of the time driving. All in All it was awesome!Tony Teixeira
grubstake
Tony, you should have seen it before it burned, you had to crawl on your hands abd knee in places to detect. I've lived here since around 89 and would never move. Grubstake
