Paseclipse
Hi Ebonbetta, welcome to the forum. I'd probably get a used SD2100. Then again if you can save just $200 more then you can buy a new one, at least until the supply runs out.Del

nvchris
I heard that the SD's are back in production, seems that the demand for an entry lvl PI from Minelab was just to great to ignore.nvchris
Admin nuggethunting Posted April 7, 2009 Admin Report Share Posted April 7, 2009 Hey Ebonetta, If you're wanting to purchase new, I would consider a good VLF gold nugget detector. Minelab makes the Eureka Gold, which is the only VLF that has three frequencies. Minelab has discontinued the SD2100v2, which brand new was reduced down to $1,199.00. The SD2200v2 is still available new at - $1,798.95. You might be able to find a used SD2100 for under a $1,000 if you search around. I would consider an SD if you can since they are Pulse Induction (PI) metal detectors. These units get much more depth (2-3 times over VLF's) and are practically immune to mineralization. If you have any questions give us a call at - 623-362-1459Talk with you later,Rob Allison
