veinhunter
Hey people. I am new to this forum, I just recently became interested in prospecting. I've been at it for like 3 months, And to be honest I'm doing pretty good. With nice piles of big garnets, and some heavy flake. What I want to know is, My mom is moving up to Alaska, and I just wanted to know if anyone has had success in that area. Or maybe a river where I might have a chance. I am going up there in August to Visit and do some salmon fishing. But I figured bring the pans and see how it goes. I am scared or claim jumping though, can I get a map of the claims whiule I am up there? Thanks you guys

kamikaze
Check out Crow Creek or Chicken. Crow creek is less than an hour from Anchorage and they have pans or sluices for rent. Chicken is a whole lot farther...
