Hey Dredger,

I received your PM, but just haven't gotten around to responding yet. As for the Arizona Creeks, I would recommend you gettting the book titled "Placer Gold Deposits in Arizona." This book will tell you most of the major gold bearing drainages in Arizona.

There are too many to list, most of them show decent fines, flakes and small nuggets.

Take care,

Rob Allison

We'll now that dredging is gone form California I was wonder what are the dredging regs for Arizona, do they have permits? Also what are the main gold producing rivers - creeks there?

Dredger,

Dredging is not dead yet. DFG is still issuing permits. You can read the reason why on the New 49er site.

Gosh Ken... I understand that the California Fish & Game are no longer issuing new dredge

permits for 2009. But for those that already have a 2009 permit they can still dredge.

My email is limited and I cannot post links, but anyone is interested punch in

Then open "Press releases/... It is 16 pages... Go to page 6 for the "heart of the problem."

Sorry that I cannot post better... Windows 95 and basic earthlink are limited...

Dutch,

What the judge's order said is that DFG can't use general funds to issue permits. DFG responded that the permits are paid for by the fees from the permitees. So they formally asked the judge for clarification. Until this is received DFG is still issuing permits. You can read the text of the DFG letter by following the link above.
