DigDeep
Be careful where you hunt around LCC, much of it is off limits to detecting/or any other prospecting.Good luck out there.DigDeep

How is Gold hunting? I have a new 4500 now and am trying to learn to use it. Is the Canyon still open? Please tell me where to avoid. Thanks Doug

grubstake
Been to goldstone, you surely want a good 4x4 going out there, good area, Ft. Irwin is an Army base. They have guys patroling in Black SUV'S along the fence line, Don't cross the boundry, they can use deadly force. Grubstake
silver dog doug
Well, I went to Last chance canyon today. I guess things are changing, they filled in all the vertical shafts at the entrance to the canyon. I dug about 20 or 30 lead bullets and (no gold). Mabe I will get back when the weather is cooler, but I think that I will try somewhere else. Thanks for the suggestions. Doug
FlakMagnet
Hi Doug,I agree about trying somewhere else...that place, especially by the road down in, has beenhit to a fare-thee-well. I love the place, but it's not too productive in the well-known areas...Flak
