Wingnutter Posted December 13, 2009 Report Share Posted December 13, 2009 Hi there I'm fairly new to the forum in that I mean that i have visited often but have posted very little. I have a question though that I have not seen addressed on the forum. I would like to know how to go about researhing a particular piece of ground to determine if it is open to detecting/prospecting. I know where the ground is but don't know where to start looking for facts about it. I know that it is on BLM land but not if it has a claim on it or near it. So where would a person look to find out these facts and maybe a little history of that part of the country. I would like to go there next year and since it is about 14 hours away for me I want to gather as much info as possible before I go. so any help in that regard would be greatly appreciated.
