Finally enough water in the seasonal creeks to prospect a little. My wife and one of my sons And me went out Monday to check a spot we found last summer. We ran a couple of buckets at a random spot and found a little color and a couple of pickers that look like rolled mouse droppings. Most of the gold was in the loose over burden. The blue clay was a real chore to work but was holding gold also. Went and checked the creeks today and there ripping 2 inches of rain last night. We marked our spot so that I don't go back and work my own tailing's. I checked a couple of creeks up near Georgetown they looked like rivers they had 4'' 1/2 inches of rain last night.

I we wait for fast water and deep water ,have to wait for the water to get deep enough even in Idaho to run my 2 dredges one 8inch and one 8 choked to a 6inch cause of the regulations ,got tired of paning gold and use wheels now ,so much faster and easyer than paning .

DearMatt ,the first one is a 8inch surface dredge with a 8inch sub surface blow hog hung under it,it drives itself, off the trailer ,and down to the water, its real heavey, and the second picture is of what, we move it with ,it has a lot of power, and moves equipment fast,i build heavy to last , lite weight stuff dont last with steady use ,

Larry,

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love Idaho. I have spent some time up that way and lived in Jackson,

Wy. after college. Interviewed for a job in Bellview south of Ketchum. I think they got some gold there.

My folks live in Ketchum and Ashton. My Dad spends a lot of time on the Henry's Fork fishing. When I head

up there this summer, I plan on taking my gold pan and cheking out the streams in their back yards.

I wish I could set up a dredge like that here in Cali.

Cheers.

G'day All, Wish we had some running water here in the Challis area ( Custer Co. ) Idaho. Right now at 0930 in the morning its -10 F and all our water is solid so no slucing or such so I'm just working black sand-slooooow process. Justs sitting here wishing I was someplace else swinging my detector. Oh well I think I will go out and see if the ATV will start...Wish I was in Arizona right now.

.....Idaho Al :angry2:<_<

Dear Sean C. ,the fishing is still good after all these years , when they tore down the old Lewiston Dam ,yhe fish stoped for a while , but the Steelhead, and the Salmon, the trout, and catfish , even the Stergun, are regulated now you can keep only sertain sizes ,The sturgen were up to 12 feet long, and we had the bigest Catfish ever, the Steelhead would hang to the ground, lets show them some fish from Lewis-Clark valley
