GLEN. H.
I took my 4500 out yesterday, and was hunting in serpentine bedrock. This is some of the worst ground I've ever detected. I was wondering if anyone has hunted this type of bedrock and has any suggestions on settings for my machine. ThanksGlen
GLEN. H.
I was using a DD joey
wes
Yep, the motherload serpentine is horrible to detect! You can dumb down the 4500 some, but it will still moan and groan and struggle with it. Try running enhance timing in mono mode, with the DD coil. minerjoe01
mine does very well with dd joey and platypus. I run the rx@9 stab@11 special extra, and very slow motion. I think the key is GB. I bounce the detector till its quiet holding the coil as low as possible, then hit the quicktrac button till i can flip the switch into fixed. El Dorado
Get the book out and learn the Special Ground Balance technique......it sometimes really helps in super hot ground
barry
GlennTry, fixed GB, enhance, rx 8,stablizer 6, DD, if you continue to get false readings check the target by switching to tracking and move very slow over the target. If its bad ground you will not hear a signal, if its a good target you will get a good signal. Rob may have a better sotution.Barry
