The road to Crown King?

Unc.....your in the right spot....

It actually a place that got used a LOT back in the day. We found old forks, foundations, and some furnace bricks (wont tell you what else or it will give it away, but it was big and round and long).......hints....:)

If no one gets it, or even if they do, I will post a pic of it back in the day.

Majuba?

Donno where that is...

ok......HINT.....the mine would load ore at this spot. Then the train would take it out.

Its somewhere between crown king and cleater....

Greenbox, I don't know where Tom went but you are right that's where Middleton was. It was a thriving place at one time. Big steam engines would turn around there and load ore from the Desoto mines tramway. I think that Tom will post a pic of what it looked like in it's heyday.

BINGO!!!!

GREENBOX wins!!!

He has my next 5 buckets of tailings I run through my trommel. :)

The place was called middleton. It was the drop off point for the ore from the Desoto mine.

They used a tramway to bring it down the mountain....HINT...big long thing? there is a lot of 1 1/2 inch cable laying up on the hillside. If you look up you can still see some foundations of the tramway that carried the buckets of ore down to the loading point.

The Crown King road used to be a rail road. It was called Murpheys impossible railroad...but he got it done. :)

Tks for the guessing......its was fun. :) Srry to keep you up Greenbox, thinking about it. :)

Heres a before and after pic.

Look at the upper right of the photos and you will see the similarities...the cut in the mountain.
