WW2 massive detectors

Recommended Posts

Most of us know about old Mr Fisher and his 1st detector, but how many of you know about the Kraut and pommie

plane mounted detectors used to find Mines in the ocean in ww2 ???

Information as to the detection type "ie" pulse or VLF can be found, anyone got any info on these masive buggers ??

We have Copter mounted loops here in WA and they are up to 40 ft wide, they scan for geomagnetic and are a sight to

see as they hover over you, the ML's go nuts when they are around, could be the gigantic magnetic field ??

Heck Pete, I wouldn't even go near that thing for fear that my libido would be affected. Got trouble enough at my age, don't want all those electrification impulses runnin' thtough me. Didn't know there were such things out there, I learned something today. I used to fool around and make so-called detectors back in the early fiftys trying to locate telephone cables and breaks in the sheath. Maybe if I had one of them it would have made the job easier. :-)
