Allen in MT
This year 2012 was the last year catering to metal detectors, clark/wiltz decieded to concentrate on the commercial end of mining.
Steve Herschbach
I know many people could not afford it but it is certainly one less place you could go and have a real shot at a serious chunk of gold. The largest nugget found by a visitor this summer was "only" seven ounces. Not big by Ganes Creek standards but certainly the find of a lifetime regardless. I will always remember the week I was there and two different guys each found one pound nuggets! Hard to believe this summer was my last ride in the bus.
