I love the fine gold timing on the 5k, the bedrock i am working is extremely infested with ironstone. Its unbelievable, the amount of crap it can see through while in fine gold with a mono. Got some chunky guys too.I usually run fine gold also...in really hot areas.Have to recheck a bit and kick ironstones around...but like you say...once you hear a target it really stands out. Im usaully running gain at 11 and stabilizer at 12...the rest to kind of fit my bad hearing. Good luck out there...geet some more!!OK....im guessing.....1.9 grams??????Tom H. I have to recalibrate I agree with you on how small of gold the 5G will find.Ive found some pretty small stuff also. Not gold bug 2 size but pretty dang small.After I have found all I can with the 5G I usually hit it with the GB2 anyways.Taker easy and good luckTom H.
