barry
This is the first decent size specimen for me. It gave a great signal, I was using the GPX 5000 with the the Fine Gold setting. Any suggestions on cleaning and removing the iron stains? Thanks for looking.
frank c
Nice beepin. Drop it in some Whink rust an stain remover. If that don't do it drop it in some muratic acid. I use em both to clean em up then ultrasonic machine.

Border Boy
Great job, that's a sweet find!! Try just a toothbrush and some whitening tooth paste, Lol.......But seriously it looks like a good jewelry piece might be better off with a couple oxides in there, cool. DesertNuggets
It's a beauty!Sulfamic acid should clean her right up!
El Dorado
Do not use wink!!!!! it dissolves the quartz and leaves the quartz with a powdery look. Use muratic acid(pool acid) to clean it up.
frank c
OOPPS Sorry about the whink. Usually you have to leave a piece in for an extended amount of time to dissolve quartz. I use the muratic more often also. But the whink will clean rust type stains quickly.
