yufo68
Hi everyone, I'm new at nugget hunting and was wondering if anyone knew of good areas to nugget hunt on California's Central Coast.Aloha
Reno Chris
Can you give us a more precise location - is the central coast San Francisco? Morro Bay? Monterrey? Santa Barbara? Ukiah? The majority of California's gold came from the Sierra Nevada, next most from the Klamath and Trinity River Systems in the North, and third from the deserts of the southeastern part of the state. Very small amounts came from some beach placers between Santa Barbara and San Francisco. Access to these can be difficult and they can be hard to work.
