Every wash or hilltop I have been to has bullets or casings. No matter how far back I go. In Colorado I found friggin musket balls. Don't let it discourage you. Just means your detector is working! I can go to a place that I reckon "no ones been here for sure" and still find shotgun pellets and bullet heads!The damn things pop up everywhere, even when the golds all flogged out they are still in abundance. Whats the go with that? Why cant it be they are flogged out and golds still there? You dig down into what seems 100% virgin gravel and clay, the signals giving a nice dipping groan, "Yes, its a goodie for sure" you say to yourself. Then its out "WHAT, A MUSKET BALL????"
