What makes these my favorite boots? • They are waterproof, not important with the exception that because they are waterproof they are dirt proof. • The tongue is gusseted all the way to the top. You can kick dirt all day long and never get dirt in these boots. • All hardware is nylon ABSOLUTELY NO METAL ANYWHERE • Not insulated • Great ankle support • Fiberglass arch shank for great foot support • These are made on an athletic foot bed which means they feel like tennis shoes. Users report that they are the most comfortable boots ever and require no breakin. • Extremely aggressive cleated sole that keeps you from slipping. Since I have been wearing these boots I have never had them slip out from under me on gravel. YES THEY ARE BLACK. Sorry. And I will admit to you that they are a bit warm in the sun. But not unbearably so. HOWEVER, since wearing these boots I have never had a sprained ankle. I think keeping your ankles and feet warm actually keep your muscles limber.
