I don't know much about this place but I have seen mines when 4 wheeling down from big bear. I see that there are open claims up in the rattlesnake canyon. I would like to get closer to Rimrock? Paseclipse Posted February 10, 2009 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 Hi srferjo, instead of using the WAG method to try and find gold, try starting off in areas where gold has been found before. You do this by purchasing books on the subject. Ask Rob about some gold location books for California I'm sure he carries some. Another book you definately want to get and read is Follow the Drywashers by Jim Straight which Rob carries.
