Uncle Ron Posted August 14, 2010 Report Share Posted August 14, 2010 Yo All...Esp. you Colorado Bob...Dodacious and I have been exploring around Colorado the past couple days and today stumbled upon the area around Ward and Nederland...I saw lots of placer areas where extensive mining has gone on..I was especially excited to see some very old hydraulic areas...Anybody have any experience nugget shooting in that area and south to Black Hawk? ... wyndham Posted August 19, 2010 Report Share Posted August 19, 2010 Hey Ron, ther's a bar on the main street of Nederland that opens early in the morning and has a great breakfast.It may or may not still be around, it was over 15 yrs ago but bars seldom go out of biz. If you come down the hill to Boulder there's an underground gold mine with tours at Idaho Springs which is about about half way down the hill. Neat to see what the geology looks like.
