I'm calling it a she because it looks too hot to be a he. The picture of the SDC 2300 is folded and dripping wet with water. The picture of it covers from one page to the other. Like Minelab says the SDC 2300 collapses to only 15.7 inches Which is about the size of the open magazine. Minelab if the SDC 2300 is as good as it looks you got a winner. Ridge Runner Posted May 14, 2014 Author Report Share Posted May 14, 2014 Roo Most of the time we may not need the waterproof but it will be good to stay in a rain and not have to worry about the water running off your detector. I know one time I was out it rain some everyday a little. It would look clear but by the time you would get about a mile from camp here it would come again. Oh I had a plastic bag and I had a 3500 and no way was I going to get it wet. Minelab says this is a mid-ranger detector and as I get older I'm becoming a mid-ranger digger.
