A Sasquatch
Has anyone encountered the unit doing an un asked for start sequence when it is jarred on the heal of the coil?
nvchris
Stock (and some normal c cells) batteries are too small and a good whack causes them to loose contact. Give them a single wrap with tape to improve the fit.The rechargeable ones Rob sells don't have this problem.
Admin nuggethunting Posted April 26, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted April 26, 2015 Hello Sasquatch, Yes, the best solution is to place a wedge between the upper batteries and you won't have another issues again with re-setting. You can also tape the batteries like Chris mentioned to increase the diameter of the batteries to keep them fro shifting. Hope this helps. A Sasquatch
Thanks guys, love this machine it's just amazing what it picks up. Got 10 grams of small inAreas that the GB2 had been used
Admin nuggethunting Posted April 27, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hey Sasquatch, Congrats on the 10 Grams of gold. That is a good amount of gold that was missed. I really think the SDC, even though it's a lot more expensive is replacing the GB2. The SDC in some spots runs better on high mineralization than the GPX 5000. The ability to balance out high mineralization, hot bedrock and such and still find nuggets under a grain is amazing. It will hit a small nugget, 1-2 grain size at twice or better the depth of the GB2. The GB2 is still a great VLF. The guys in Mexico love them.
