Allen in MT
Those using the 4000 and coiltek 12x24 ufo, what would you say your smallest & largest nugget was and at what depth. I know this is a loaded question with alot of variables, but thought I would ask anywayAllen in MT
Bandana Don
Morning Allen: I have a Mini UFO and while swinging this coil on my GP3000 I found a beautiful specicem not 20 feet from the road on the RoadRunner's Leave No Holes Claim. The target sounded like another piece of junk iron left over from years gone by -- I decided to dig the target and from around 5" deep out came a beautiful specimen which Steve Gholson weighed and calculated to contain 1.411 oz of Rich Hill Gold. Sorry to say I don't recall if I've found any small nuggets with this coil. As soon as the weather cools off I'll be out swinging the Mini UFO looking for more gold.I would think the larger 12X24 UFO should also be a fine mono to hunt with.Don
Admin nuggethunting Posted September 15, 2007 Admin Report Share Posted September 15, 2007 Hello Allen, I love the Minelab GPX-4000, but haven't used the big Coiltek UFO on it. I know Steve H. from Alaska loves the UFO, so hopefully he will give us some advice on sizes and depths. Wishing you the best,Rob Allison
