Ted Scott
Well, I've been so busy working lately, I haven't had a chance to get out in several weeks. Anyhow, yesterday was the day - I went out with Rod and Adam (rockhound) to a nice spot that Adam had located. I managed to score this lone 1.5 grammer pictured below. Perfect day out among the flowers and a great way to get started hunting again...
~LARGO~
Good one Ted!Were you using both channels? OR??? Tell me more!~LARGO~
Ted Scott
Yep, both channels. This was pretty mild soil overall, just a few hotspots in the bedrock. I did go over the bedrock with the CT 14" Mono in channel 2 only looking for smaller bits, but alas, it was not to be. I wouldn't mind hitting this area just once more. I have a feeling that a patch on the mountain is left behind. It might be tough to find though in this situation. I've got some clues with the host stone on this one and a certain rock I found which gives signal. Maybe I'll get lucky and turn it into several more. Admin nuggethunting Posted March 12, 2008 Admin Report Share Posted March 12, 2008 Hey Ted, Congrats on the new find. I don't know how many lonely nuggets I have found like that, but it's worth checking out the nearby areas. Wishing you more luck in the area,Rob Allison
Ted Scott
Yeah, there are a lot of one nugget patches out there. The area has a lot of potential. I'm sure there is a wash nearby that is just loaded.
