Colorado CJ
Hey guys, me and my dad just purchased the X-Terra 70 pro pack from KellyCo. I was just wondering where are some good producing areas in Colorado? I am in northern Colorado, but head out to the Clear Creek/Arkansas River areas all the time. Is there any GOOD producing placer areas to detect there? We had been trying our hand at sluicing, but finally saved up enough to buy the detector, so we are chomping at the bit to find some shiny stuff! Admin nuggethunting Posted June 21, 2008 Admin Report Share Posted June 21, 2008 Hello CJ, Welcome to my forums. I'm not real familar with placers areas of Colorado, but know a lot of guys here on the forums are from that area. Hopefully a few of them will be able to chime in and help. Bandana Don
Morning to ya Colorado CJ: In the past lots of placer gold has been taken out of the area along the road leading to Blackhawk as well as along Clear Creek where the dredge tailings are stacked. When I lived in Denver I found a fair amount of gold in the above easy areas to get to. You might want to purchase a book or two containing info on Colorado Placer Gold Locations. Cheers and luck, Don
