ingenieromarcos
hello, greetings to all ........ On this occasion I am writing to present the following concerns:I want to buy a GPS for use in the mountains during my days of exploration with my minelab GPX 4000.because the GPS is an electronic device. There may be interference with the functioning of the detector?I am very grateful for the comments they can make to this question. fredm
What is a pregfunta? A question, a problem, a query or perhaps mystery...I often leave my Garmin GPS on while detecting and donot think there is any interference...I carried a radio (shortwave?) for the sake of my hunting partner and there wasn't any problems from that either...Good luckFred
kcoulson
A "pregunta" is the Spanish word for question. When he typed it into the Spanish to English translator it was not translated because it was mis-spelled. (Typo)As far as GPS and detectors- no problem lots of people use them.Even if you did suspect that there might be a problem you could turn it off while detecting.Ken
Reno Chris
A hand held GPS is a receiver - it transmits nothing. You could get interference on your metal detector only if it gets close enough to the coil that the coil picks up the metal in the GPS.Chris
whats4supper
