oldies1955 Posted March 2, 2014 Report Share Posted March 2, 2014 Hey all: Well, a couple of weeks ago I met up with some friends and did some detecting at LSD.Popped 1.1 grams the first day! Skunk day 2 and 3Boulderdash was a digging fool with his D11 and got 40 nuggets for a little over 4 grams.But, the best part of the trip was watching Shay find his first nug. It was the last day, last hour, and were getting ready to head back to camp.Shay sees a boulder about 2 feet up out of the wash and decides to flip it. Hes detecting around it and at the front of it we see him going over and over a spot. Dad, BD, and I all gather around and he starts digging. Were all rooting him on and hoping its a nug. He gets down to bedrock and its still there. Starts chipping away at the bedrock and all of a sudden we hear a HOLY **** NO.....out pops a fat 1.8 gram nug.
