Admin nuggethunting Posted June 27, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted June 27, 2014 Hello All, Here is a short video I recent filmed working a small gully with the Minelab GPX 5000. Found a small nugget at a pretty good depth with the stock Minelab Commander 11-inch Round Mono.

~LARGO~
Good job, Rob. It's weird how those 5000's can make small nuggets sound much bigger!Gary
Admin nuggethunting Posted June 30, 2014 Author Admin Report Share Posted June 30, 2014 Hey Guys, Thanks for the comments. Yes, the GPX detectors really make those little nuggets sound much larger. I'm impressed with the stock 11-inch coil, even though I do like some of the aftermarket larger coils for certain spots.
oldies1955
Man, thats pretty good being that small and 6 inches down. WTG.I cant seem to get away from the 9x14 coiltek though. It just seem lighter and easyer to swing all day long. Looks like that wash deserves a good scraping out with a shovel! Tom H.
Admin nuggethunting Posted July 7, 2014 Author Admin Report Share Posted July 7, 2014 Hey Tom, The GPX 5000 is an amazing metal detector, no questions it's light years ahead of anything else out there. I've went back to the stock 11-inch Minelab Commander cause where I'm hunting I like the solid bottom. I have a new, older style Coiltek 14-inch Round Solid Mono ready to be equipped for the bigger gold at depth.
nugget108
Is the coiltek 14 round mono a good coil to have?
