jjbond
Doc won one of these at the conference in Las Vegas, great machine, was super light, felt good in my hand, nice balance... a Gold Bug 2 killer perhaps.

Admin nuggethunting Posted February 10, 2017 Admin Report Share Posted February 10, 2017 Hey Jen, Yep, that lucky Doc!! Will be interesting to see how the units do here in the US. I think it's going to be Fisher Goldbug 2's number one competition.
DOC
Here's the bottom line. This machine is almost totally automatic. It will perform the same on a .2 gram nugget as a Fisher Gold Bug however it will give you more depth, auto ground balance and of course Minelab's legendary ability to handle mineralised ground. I could not believe out of 134 attendees I won this machine. First 12 names were drawn. I was one of the 12. Then cards were drawn, there were three 3's, six 7's, and three 9's. The six people who drew 7's were still in the running the other six people were out. Then we drew cards again, the cards were from 2 to a queen. So 6 people each had a different card. I had a Jack which was for purposes of the game an 11 so card 2 was a 2 card 3 a 3, a 10 was 10, a jack was 11 a queen was 12. Now they threw dice, whomever's number came up first won the detector. I think they threw 5 or 6 times. Each time they threw the dice, they would see if the number thrown, matched anyone's card. So for example if they threw a 7 on the dice and you were holding the 7, you won. Well 5 throws and no one had their number come up on the dice. The sixth roll was an 11 or a Jack which was my card, and I won the detector. I do not consider myself a lucky person, but what the hell are the odds of winning that detector considering all of the hoops you had to jump through? Not a math genius either, but the odds had to be astronomical. If my luck was running that hot I should have gone down to the casino and played Megabucks. As usual we had to sign a non-disclosure agreement to see the many surprises Minelab has for the future. We can't even hint at what you can expect over the coming years, but rest assured Minelab is not sitting on their hands and they are sure to be the first to introduce technologies that other companies can not even dream of. Stay tuned. Doc

Admin nuggethunting Posted March 6, 2017 Admin Report Share Posted March 6, 2017 Hey Jen, The release date is getting close. Will be interesting when this unit hits the ground here in the US. I think it will be the #1 competitor against the long running Fisher Goldbug 2. Customer can pre-order this unit from us now. We already have about a dozen very interested customers that have paid in full.
