dilligaf222 Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 I live in north central Idaho and as far as I can find out there has not been big nuggets in the area. I have never used a Minelab before and I would like some advice on what type of coils you think would be best? Any suggestions on settings would also be helpful.ThanksHarleyman222 Quote
Rattlesnake Jim Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 I would use either the 8"mono or the 10"elliptical joey mono from coiltek for best performance on small gold.My 2 cents!RSJ Quote
Admin nuggethunting Posted January 2, 2007 Admin Report Posted January 2, 2007 Hello Harleyman, I would have to agree to Rattlesnake Jim. For the best sensitivity to small gold the Coiltek Joey 10x5 Mono or Minelab 8-inch Round Mono Searchcoils would work best. I would also run the Sensitive mode for small gold on the GPX-4000. The Coiltek Joey is $199The Minelab Commander 8-inch is $199.95These are the new prices, you might be able to find some good used one also. Wishing you the best of luck,Rob Allison Quote
