Admin nuggethunting Posted October 8, 2007 Admin Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 Hello All, I spent this weekend conducting some prospecting business and doing a bit of nugget hunting with friends. We hit some old spots this weekend giving the new Coiltek Platypus Mono Searchcoils a workout. Everyone seems to be very impressed with their results. Not sure what Coiltek done, but they are extremely quiet, very sensitive and punch down deep. I found four nuggets this weekend on old beat down patches. The new mono is a killer on the GPX-4000. Take a gander at the pictures below. My take was just over 4 Dwt's, biggest gold nugget was 2.4 Dwt's. Take care,Rob Allison

Wirechief
I can also vouch for the Platypus coil made for the Explorer/Quattro's detectors for coin and relic hunting. I have the Platypus on my Quattro and it is also very sensitive and quiet.John Tomlinson,CETJohn's DetectorsBest Detector Shop in Texas! Jim P.
Nice ones Rob, I'm still saving up for mine. (Platypus) I think that will be the ticket for the 24K pushes. Later...Jim P.
