Trash? or treasures?

Recommended Posts

When I get in a new area, I always take the trash out, I dig every target, this is from a few weekends, about 4 hours a day. As you can see, an old fork, from the early 1900's two pocket knives, three shot gun shell base's alittle Iron trash and down in the lower right hand corner, well those are all lead targets. The area has also gave me some gold, two nuggets, a 1.2 DWT. and a 6 Dwt nugget. Pays to dig all signals! Grubstake

And I forgot the square nails in right center.

Naw I never save them long, around here, we get them from finishing nail size to ones big enough to use for tent stakes, When I was hunting my Eldorado Canyon, I had a 5 gallon bucket full, they went to the dump. But I'm always glad when I start finding them! It means your in an old area. Grubstake

The Gold was found when sandtrap came up to hunt, the little 1.2 DWT. and the bigger one was a couple of months before that. Haven't gotten any lately, but we know its there! I won't stop looking. New spot on Friday up around Big Oak Flat on some private ground. Grubstake
