Admin nuggethunting Posted February 21, 2010 Admin Report Share Posted February 21, 2010 Hello All, A guy on the forum sent this over to me about a week ago. I haven't seen this ad in years, but thought it was funny. This was back when the GP Extreme was "King." I found a couple of small nuggets during that time, some I never shown to the public. I figured I would show the hole since a friend sent over the picture of the ad. Minelab GP Extreme Metal Detector, Coitek 14-inch Solid Round Mono Searchcoil, 28-inches deep .... How many guys walked over it before? Good times ....Rob Allison

Admin nuggethunting Posted February 21, 2010 Author Admin Report Share Posted February 21, 2010 Hey Mike, I loved my GP Extreme also. I've said this many times in the past, but to this very date I have found my biggest nuggets & specimens with the GP Extreme. Was the GP Extreme better? I can't say it was better, cause I believe the newer models have more features and things you can do that the Exteme couldn't, but it was the first GP detector and I was able to get back to all my old SD patches and find a lot of gold I missed. I don't know if you recall, but Minelab claimed the GP Extreme was getting 55% depth on smaller gold and 18% better depth on larger pieces. There was no doubt the smaller gold was an accurate statment, but the larger nuggets has always been a debate, even today. Glad you enjoyed.
