Admin nuggethunting Posted February 4, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 Hello All, Curious if anyone local in Surprise or North Phoenix area has a Gold Screw or Gold Wheel I can use, or even bring cons over to separate gold from the black sands. I want to get as much gold as possible from the Black Sands.
1dredger
If your goal is to get all the gold you want to use the Blue Bowl, most CA dredger prefer as it has a better rate of recovery.
Admin nuggethunting Posted February 4, 2014 Author Admin Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 Hey Dredger, Do you need to screen the black sands down to a mesh size? The Blue Bowl is the bowl that sits on top of a 5 gallon bucket and has a valve for a hose to allow water to swirl the blacks sands and gold around, correct? 1dredger
Yes, you want to screen into 30, 60, 80, 100. Most plus 30 is easy to get. You can use a garden hose but a small bilge pimps works best so you have no surge in flow. The idea is it take more flow to move the gold than black sand, since black sand is lighter it will walk up the center cone while gold sits at the base. How much cons are you looking to process? hendo
Rob, I use a blue bowl on all my black sands. I classify -30, -50, and -100, and run them all seperately. Watch the blue bowl video on the Prospecting Chanel.com for exellent instructions. Hendo

AMC
If you're up this way, you're welcome to run them on my RP4 shaker table. I've got a blue bowl and spiral but prefer them table for micro and it runs more....faster and you can put it back through to concentrate it down more.Jerry
Uncle Ron
Yo Rob .... I've got a gold wheel if you're passing through Wickenburg, I'd be happy to run the cons ... Cheers, Ron
