Admin nuggethunting Posted March 16, 2019 Admin Report Share Posted March 16, 2019 Hey Way2cool, That is correct, 3 coils for now. It will be exciting to see. I have a demo coil coming now to test out before the release. I will keep everyone updated, but I'm sure it will work great and give us more options on the Minelab SDC 2300 metal detector. We have been taking pre-orders on these coils, so anyone looking or interested please contact us. I'm sure there will be a back order due to the demand when these coils first hit the US market. IMPDLN
I am interested In your unbiased opinion Rob. I have only seen minimal info on these new coils so far, but it looks like you have to remove a side plate in order to use these new coils. Access to the coil wire attachment I believe. I wonder if this compromises the waterproof capabilities of this unit. Dennis
way2cool
Don't forget about the accessory kit you have to buy to use the coils.
G S
does it void the warranty?
Admin nuggethunting Posted March 19, 2019 Admin Report Share Posted March 19, 2019 Hey Guys, There has been a lot of debate about the new coils. I'm hoping I can post some more information in the next couple of days that will help clear up some of these questions. For the time being, Coiltek has always been a top notch company, so we know they wouldn't have developed these coils without the Research and Development behind it. The new coils are doing very well in Australia so far on some field tests. I will have a coil here soon, so I will also be testing it and let you know how complicated it is to actually switch the coil out.
