NVJesse Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Hi Guys,Just wanted to share my recent finds in Nevada. I started the day out running the GPX, but wasn't having any luck so I switched over to the Gold Bug 2. I'm blown away by the gold bugs' sensitivity. It's taken a little over a year to finally find my first gold with a detector. Maybe this will be the start of a growing trend for me. ~Jesse

rexb Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Gold Bug 2 can really work great in that "unhot" NV soil when you don't have a lot of black sands. Nice going!
NVJesse Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 Hi Guys,Thanks for the replies. Finding my first gold has given me more appreciation for how difficult this hobby can be. But the pay off is worth it. I'd like to get back out to the spot where I found gold, but I'll be cruising up to visit my grandma in Grass Valley this weekend. I'll try and see if I can get my coil over some Motherlode gold. Take care.~Jesse
