Skunk Buster

What a bit of luck and fun. Got out for just a few hours this morning and the very first target was a nice little gold nugget.

Here's my little collection after 4 months having never prospected. Quite frankly I'm pretty happy with the outcome so far. You have to take a long term look, but I think at this rate I might break even on the detector before she's even out of warranty. Love the hobby. Good luck out there.....

Hey AzOverland,

Very nice collection for the short time you have been at it. The first year could be slow, but as you gain more experience from time in the field your finds will increase. There is always the "Luck Factor," but overall the guy that has the most experience and time in the field at the end of the day will have the best collection 9 out of 10 times.

Hoping to get down there for a day or so here in the near future. I think it would be cool to get you, Silver Dog Doug, Border Boy and some others together for a Greaterville hunt. Heck, I haven't been down there for several years, you guys might be showing me a thing or two about the area now.

Take care,

Rob Allison

Thanks fellas - there's some really stand up guys on the forum.

Rob - count me in on a group hunt down here for sure but don't to it to soon, I'll be out of the game for a few weeks.

Got my wedding coming up on June 4th  - then off to Alaska on a cruise!!! :girl: I'll even get to do a little gold panning on one of the shore excursions and check out some of the old gold mines in Juneau.

Haven't found enough gold to pay for the trip  but I didn't have too  ... Life is GOOD!!!!!

Speaking of which my "Bachelor Party" is going to be passing though Black Canyon city and Camp Verde, we'll stay a night at Cliff Castle Casino and then go Tresure Hunting up in Flagstaff.

We'll have two days to play around near Camp Verde and Jerome...

Anyhow if anyone has any tips about swinging with in an hour or two of Camp Verde I'm all ears.

Bachelor Party -

Nugget Hunting - Gambling - Drinking - Sedona 4 wheelin' - Fishin' - College town bar hoppin' - Tresure Hunting -

Kajun

Kajun - to bad we didn't go to this area when you where down. This little guy was right on top, it moved when I bootscraped it so I almost didn't "dig" it. You're 705 would have found it for sure. Can't wait to get there again and spend some more time on what will hopfully be a patch!
