Glenn
hit an old area today and pulled 8 out of it then ran into some dredgers on the way home and they asked for a few tips on detecting so I was explaining about the different tones and how to hunt in trashy areas and I got a perfect tone in a crack in the granite bedrock and a half hour of chopping and finally a spud bar and out popped the center piece. They couldn't believe how deep the minelab can hit a piece in a crack, they all thought I was nuts and it was just a slight hot spot or I was scraping the coil, but patience and a lot of chopping proved my ear out. Admin nuggethunting Posted November 7, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted November 7, 2014 Hey Glenn, Congrats on another batch of nuggets. It's amazing how many nuggets are out there to be found. Majority of them being smaller, but I don't think I would be off base saying there are hundreds of thousands to still be found.
oldies1955
Not off base at all Rob... LuckyLundy
Good shooting! Need them little ones to fill the voids between the bigger one.
Glenn
yeah we all love to hit the big ones, but it is all those smaller ones that fill the poke
Admin nuggethunting Posted November 9, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted November 9, 2014 Hey Glenn, Congrats. The larger ones are getting tougher to find, no question. I was lucky enough to pop out a 3 & 4.1 Dwter today. Not a bad hit with the SDC 2300 on some larger gold. One was jammed down in a bedrock crack, a real screamer.
