Admin nuggethunting Posted December 14, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted December 14, 2015 Hello All, This weekend I managed to get out for a few hours, just enough to relieve the Christmas stress. All from an old patch as I was trying some different settings with the GPZ. All the nuggets were at great depths for being small gold. Biggest piece on the left is a Dwt, for a grand total of 3.1 Dwts of gold. No question this is the best detector to date I have ever used. Yes it's heavy (I don't use a bungee) and very expensive, but worth every penny in my eyes. P.S. Unfortunately no deals on the GPZ right now unless you're active or retired US Vet, but there is a great package on the GPX4500 + SDC 2300 Combo right now for $3,999.00. This is a hot seller right now and a savings of over $2400.00. Wishing you Happy Holidays!

Tortuga
What kind of settings were you playing with?I haven't been able to run mine in Normal Soil since the update.I use Difficult Soil, High Yield, Sensitivity 12, Audio Smoothing Off.I always ground balance with the iron ring too if I'm in a new area. Otherwise I leave all the ground balance data as-is so the machine can keep building on the algorithm.

Admin nuggethunting Posted December 15, 2015 Author Admin Report Share Posted December 15, 2015 Hey Guys, Thanks for the comments. Ya, since the update it seems like Normal is much more noisy than before. That being said, it seems like I'm getting better performance in Difficult than before also.
