Grubstake Is there a diagram that shows what to do, and what about the plug in the panel, or do you just drill a hole and run the wire thru? Grubstake1 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 When I did my 2200sd, I just toook the pannel off and ppicked where I wanted to run the wire through, and drilled it, then go to the tracking switch, and useing a meter, I found the two wires by turning it on and of{the Tracking} the removed enough insulation to solder the wires. I checked the button to see it worked right , before I put it back together. I did the fix in about 20 minutes, its really not that hard. There was a handle called "Gold Button," where you got all the parts, handle and instructions to make it very simple. I used to sell them, but the manufacture I believe went under. I haven't been able to ge that product for several years now.I recommend buying a GPX handle from a dealer and then doing what Grubstake said. Just take your time and be careful when soldering. You dont even have to solder now, because they sell gell insulated clip on type wire connectors. Whylee, it sounds like you are going to buy a GPX handle , which is fine but you need a smart point connector to install at the panel for the handle to plug into.
