  1. You guys learned your lessons well! LOL Just signed back on to this forum. Rest of them are kinda slow.
  2. Hey Beatup ... long time my friend. Nice nugget. Same place as you and your brother hunted a few years back that you shared with me? Hope all is well with you. Not sure if you know or not but I moved back to NH. Same phone number for calls and text and same email.
  3. GMT ... Greenwich Mean Time. The world clock if you will ... it all starts there in London basically. Big Ben is UTC-0 ... I think AZ is UTC 7 which is Mountain Standard Time ... the zone AZ is in ... and during Daylight Saving Time(DST) it is Pacific Time as well as AZ Time because AZ does not recognize or participate in DST!
  4. Timing and search mode. Go to minelab GPX manual on line and read for yourself. They explain it well. Here is the link: https://www.minelab.com/__files/f/22591/4901-0096-5 Inst Manual GPX 4800 5000 EN_WEB.pdf
  5. For now anyway I am keeping the remain two detectors. The Bug Pro will probably just look pretty sitting up on the wall. The SDC still has a potential life with me but limited action! Thanks for all who bought and showed interest over the last couple months. Have a great summer! Admin ... feel free to remove the entire thread if you want to save a little space. I'm done with this one. Thanks Rob! Mike
  6. The beauty of the SDC 2300 is its unique ability to ignore those pesky hot rocks which in turn saves you time from digging some of junk targets! You do dig all your targets right!? If you don't ... well ... you have been leaving gold!
  7. All three are reduced here to my bottom price and picked up in Prescott Valley or shipped ... You pay shipping UPS insured. SDC 2300 $2200.00 shipping est. $30 Fisher Gold Bug Pro $300.00 shipping est. $25.00 White's Gold Master v-Sat $200.00 Shipping est. $25.00 SOLD
  8. Mine is still for sale in the classifieds on this board. Check under "gold detectors for sale".
  9. Couple more pictures I couldn't post above. 1. White's Goldmaster V-Sat ... 2. Fisher Gold Bug Pro
  10. Happy New Year 2019! I have 4 detectors I would like to see someone get some benefit from. I would be happy to give anyone who buys one of these machines a lesson on how to get started so you can go and use it right away if you pick the machine up locally. (I teach with Bill Southern here at Nugget Shooter so you will be getting what you need to get started.) All prices are cash or pay pal (friends and family please). Cashiers checks would be OK BUT I will have to wait until it clears the bank before releasing the detector. Shipping if not picked up locally is on the buyer and will be estimated at time of purchase. Minelab GPZ 7000 ... top of the line Minelab machine .... $5200.00 SOLD Minelab SDC 2300 ... stock equipment plus 3 sets of rechargeable batteries .... $2500.00 Fisher Gold Bug Pro ... two coils: 5" round DD, 10" elliptical DD included ... $400.00 White's Gold Master V-Sat ... older tech but super sensitive, 10" elliptical coil and White's carry bag .... $250.00 SOLD AB Prospecting Gas Powered Bucket Vac ... used very little .... $250.00 SOLD
  11. My condolences to all who knew him personally. I had a couple forum conversations with him but never met him in person. Sad to lose one so young!
  12. Just have too many detectors and something has to go. My SDC 2300 comes with everything you need: Detector, extremely sensitive 8" Mono coil, UR-30 headphones, Battery charger and 2 sets of after market rechargeable C-cells. (Yes you can use Standard alkaline C-cells if you prefer.) Also has the manual and quick start booklet to take out into the field as you are getting used to this simple to operate machine. Pick up in Prescott Valley $2200.00 cash ... NO TRADES... or if necessary can ship at your expense to the lower 48 states only.
  13. Yup ... She has been trying to retire for a couple years now. I've spent a lot of time there over the years before I moved out here. Every year from 2003 to 2011 I spent the month of February there. Got to know her and family very well. She ran the best little motel in Arizona for sure. Sorry to see her finally close it down but folks just don't seem to want to invest in mom and pop enterprises today ... too much real work to make it work! Would have been a great place for a young couple to grow. Just for the record I also heard recently that the laundromat across the street from the motel also closed. I saw that one coming. The owners current or past just didn't reinvest in the machines or the facilities. Too bad ... now folks will have to go to Wickenburg for laundry unless some local takes in laundry.
  14. Great detector and I have found a lot of gold with it. I'm getting older and this machine is just a bit heavy for this almost 70 year old. If you have been wanting one but just didn't want to pay the $8000 price tag for new here is your chance to pick one up for $6000 if you pick it up in Prescott Valley AZ or it can be shipped for $6060 in the lower 48 USA.
  15. Heavy and slow ... relatively ... .44 mag hollow points with an initial shot to the head will make Mr. Griz studder-step ... or so I have heard. In most cases that is momentary and forward he comes again! Shoulder shots frontal or side are useless for lack of penetration of its heavy bone structure. I'm guessing a shot to the throat ... a very small target on a fast moving object ... might stop one if it took out the spine ... but can you shoot a moving target ... in excess of 30 mph or 44 feet per second coming straight at you with the intention to take you out and your reaction coming from fear of dying!? That is the question! I don't think you have much chance of drawing and firing a perfect shot if the bear is within 50 feet of you and on a full speed charge!
  16. Best wishes and quick recovery as well from up here in Prescott Valley.
  17. ... Change direction ... Diamondbacks are the residents here ... we're just visiters! This one might make me change directions and RUN!
